Another beautiful week passed by!
Seven days of trekking through Parque natural de Posets-Maladeta. Looping the Posets and - almost - looping the Aneto. 🏔️
Almost, because it seems we still can't control the weather nor physical abilities.
Part of the game! 🌞
A game that brings a - different - challenge to everyone who decides to play.
For some it'll the physical part 💪
For some it'll be the challenge of not feeling too responsible 💫
For some it'll be letting go of what is not in our hands to control🤲
For others it'll be slowing down. 🤫
And for all of us, beautiful mountains 🙏
And now, rumbo a Francia! 🏔️👩🍳🧘♀️ ... See MoreSee Less

Through the eyes of a 5-year-old the world looks different. ⛰️
This august I had some great weeks in Valle de Benasque. Not only with the yogis I wrote about before, I also got the opportunity to crawl into the skin of a 5-year-old.🦸♀️
And in that of his 16-year-old brother. And in that of a number of other young participants.😎
And in those of people who could have been their grandfathers and grandmothers, living their first ever mountain experience.👩🦳
All these different people have different wishes and needs.🌟
The challenge of putting myself in the shoes of all those different people is a great gift. It gives many new perspectives.🕵️♀️
Hiking and kids might not seem to be the greatest combination. But as long as they don't have a chance to get bored... 🤸♀️
We drew our own map and explored with binoculars.🦅 We investigated the world through magnifying glasses and followed the paths of the wild boars.🐗 And all this formed part of the great search for the one and only Bear Grizzy.🐻
Meanwhile, seeds have been planted for mountain bivouacs, hut to hut trekkings and other great adventures that illuminate the eyes of a 16-year-old.🤩
Big, bright, shining eyes, opened a tiny bit wider.
It lights fire in me 🔥🙏 ... See MoreSee Less

Macizo de la Maladeta 🏞️
Grateful for the trust I get to guide people up their first mountains. Grateful that they share with me the insights gained from conquering so many other mountains in their lives.
Ah, and instagram doesn't let me change the location 😅

Ufff, that was intense.🔥
About nine months had past, almost without leaving Pallars. And some more time since I had been in the flatlands. 🦠
I am a sensitive person.💫 And apparently, if you're getting used to an area with very little people and noise, but lots of nature and space, the threshold for external stimuli is lowering. 🙉
The first days in the Netherlands I felt kind of trapped. There was no way out. I was searching for silence and stillness.🦋 But I didn't find it. Roads, cars, people everywhere. No place without the melody of humanity. 🌇
Slowly I am getting used to it though. Even enjoying nightly bike rides through the vibrant summer city. Runs on asphalt. Artificial landscapes. 🤖
But getting used to, isn't enough. Only a few weeks left until I'll be back in my very happy place. 🌏
Next stop: Dolomites. ⛰️🤗 ... See MoreSee Less

What a way to start the day!
No, not that I do this everyday. But it does make me happyyyy! 🤸♀️
(SWIPE RIGHT for some revealing truths 😁)
Leaving home around 7AM for an early morning bike ride 🚵♀️ and swim🏊♀️ in the early morning sun, 🌄
coming home by 9:30,
and by 10AM ready to start the work day.🤓
Developing routines like these, has been taking years. Not that for me this specific example is a routine, but I mean self-care things and activities in general.😊
Often we don't realize that doing something once a month, is probably already a huge step forward. 💪💥
But instead of feeling satisfied about doing - let's say yoga 🧘♀️- once a month, we don't even do the once a month, because we feel bad about not doing it more often. Hello limiting beliefs! 🖖
For me personally, a lot of those limiting thoughts are centered around my body. I could stay at home all the time, if I would believe my thoughts that somebody with my lifestyle should have another body.🏋️♀️ That I can go climbing again, the day in the very far future that I look slimmer. 🤔
But now I'd rather choose not to believe that thought, and to DO what makes me feel strong and happy. A lot more fun and so much more productive! 💃
So, for example, I used to think like ''I should do yoga everyday'', keep up the rhythm until will power faded and give up. Asking myself why it's so hard to keep doing what makes me feel good. 🧐
But now I find myself doing those things on a daily basis, without being so hard on myself. 🥰
Finding what feels good, 🔥
starting from a much nicer place. And suddenly it's much easier to keep up with my routines. 🤩
Little by little getting somewhere :)

"A rich and mighty Persian once walked in his garden with one of his servants. The sevant cried that he had just encountered Death, who had threatened him. 👻
He begged his master to give him his fastest horse so that he could make haste and flee to Teheran, which he could reach that same evening. The master consented and the servant galloped off on the horse.🐫
On returning to his house the master himself met Death, and questioned him, Why did you terrify and threaten my servant?🧐
"I did not threaten him; I only showed surprise in still finding him here when I planned to meet him tonight in Teheran," said Death."🧟
-Man's Search for Meaning, Viktor E. Frankl 📖
Great reminder to SURRENDER, isn't it? 💫
🧞♀️Apparently it's impossible to know what Life (or Death) has figured out for us, let alone that we could control the outcome. Why do we keep on trying? And fighting reality?
Either wanting to get rid of reality, or getting attached to reality. In both ways we make ourselves suffer.
Letting go of control, it seems a continuous game and tension field of contraction and release.
What this all has to do with LOCKDOWNS and KYRGYZSTAN and MOUNTAINS, you can read
--> Link in bio/comments <--
"The apparent endlessness of the situation leaves no space for wishing ourselves into the future. We don’t know where in future to wish for. [...]
It is those moments – when we suddenly see that the world is much bigger than we thought a split second ago.
Those moments when we stop longing for the sun and the stars suddenly appear."✨
